Harrah's Atlantic City - The Real Deal :
If you measure all Harrah's properties using the Las Vegas one as a yard stick, Harrah's Atlantic City is about five Eiffel Towers higher in quality, coolness, layout and gaming opportunity. Whereas the Vegas property is cramped, difficult and tight, Harrah's Atlantic City is about opportunity and fun. With Borgata opened right next door and the Golden Nugget making waves across the street it's no doubt that Harrah's is pouring resources and interest into their AC flagship property. Oh Yeah!
Location of Harrah's Atlantic City:
Harrah's Atlantic City is located in the Marina District about 10 minutes drive from the Boardwalk. Borgata and Golden Nugget are within walking distance of Harrah's Atlantic City although you'll waste half the day walking around, the distances are deceiving.... take a cab.

Harrah's Atlantic City History
Harrah's Atlantic City started it's life in the late 1970's as Holiday Inn Marina Casino, transformed into Harrah's Marina when Holiday Inn purchased a substantial amount of Harrah's holdings in 1978, shortly before the death of Harrah's founder William F. Harrah. Harrah's Marina had its grand opening on November 23, 1980. Harrah's dropped the Marina moniker and went with Harrah's Atlantic City. In 2007, Harrah's completely remodeled the property including building a brand new hotel tower.
The Rooms at Harrah's Atlantic City
Even though they've virtually rebuilt the property, the hotel rooms at Harrah's Atlantic City leave a lot to be desired. Crunky old bed spreads, colonial style furnishings and mis-matched odes to classic and modern style lend an air of confusion to their accommodations. We suggest guests stay in the Waterfront Premium rooms and suites due to their upgraded decor and goods.
For those looking for large suite options, check out the Red Door Spa Suite (with Jacuzzi) the Party Suite (perfect for holding a party) or getting your host to spring for the uber sexy Penthouse Suite.
